Upcoming, talented young artists Hannah Bonnici (soprano) and Lawrence Darmanin (baritone), accompanied by pianist Julia Miller, will be performing at the last concert of the season at the Oratory of St. Francis Church in Valletta. The lunchtime concert will be held on the 30th May 2017 at 12:30 pm.
The fascinating programme presents some of the worlds most loved sacred arias. The programme commences with a sacred aria composed by F. Mendelssohn- Draw near, all ye people...Lord God of Abraham| from Elijah, followed by two arias by G. F. Handel- "Behold, I tell you a mistery...The trumpet shall sound " from Messiah and Oh had I jubal's Lyre. The programme continues with an aria composed by the French composer M.Charpentier Te Deum, followed by J.Haydns Now heav'n " from The Creation. The soprano will also sing one of the most popular and well-loved sacred aria Ave Maria by F. Schubert.
