Enjoy a delightful lunchtime concert at Easter time in a unique venue! Do not miss the opportunity to listen to outstanding tenor Alan Sciberras performing a celebration of sacred and brilliant operatic arias on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 at noon, at the Augustinian Monastery in Old Bakery Street Valletta.
Alan Sciberras will be performing sacred works such as Mozarts Ave Verum, Stradellas Pieta` Signore, Rossinis Cujus Animam and Adams The Holy City. The second part of the programme highlights excerpts from well-known operas such as Puccinis Recondit Armonia from Tosca, Che Gelida Manina from La Boheme and the timeless Nessun Dorma from Turandot. Furthermore, he will also sing Verdis Dei miei bollenti spiriti from La Traviata.
The accompanying pianist Sofia Narmania will perform two solos, Mascagnis Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana and Verdis Preludio from La Traviata.
After the concert, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a free guided tour of the interesting chambers of the monastery which are adorned with beautiful and historical sacred ornaments.
