Come and enjoy the sparkling music in a relaxed and quiet atmosphere of a monastery! Brilliant duo, cellist Lucie Kucharova and pianist Sofia Narmania, are inspired by a repertoire of romantic music. The lunchtime concert is going to be held on Tuesday 16 October 2018 at 12 noon at the St. Augustine Monastery in Old Bakery Street, Valletta.
The exciting programme will focus on 19th and 20th century composers such as Gabriel Faure`, Saint-Saens and Rachmaninov. The duo will perform Gabriel Faure`s Sicilienne op.78 and Elegy Op 21 and Josef Suks Ballade and Serenade Op 3. The programme ensues with Antonin Dvoraks Silent Woods Op 68/ V, Saint-Saens mellifluous The Swan and Rachmaninovs endearing Vocalise. The repertoire follows with Faure`s Papillon and Apres un Reve.
