LUNCHTIME CONCERTS AT THE ORATORY OF ST. FRANCIS
Enjoy forty minutes of enchanting classical music at the charming 17th century Oratory of St. Francis in Republic Street, Valletta! These increasingly popular lunchtime concerts are held every Tuesday and Friday at 12:30 pm and these performances present some of the best talents to be found in Malta. The performers and programmes are always varied from one event to another.
The baroque Oratory, which hosts the performances, is an exquisite venue which complements the fine music. The events are also fund raising events for the Franciscan Church. Songs without Words
Mro. Silvio Zammit is a brilliant flautist with over 25 years of experience in flute performance and teaching. Together with his piano accompanist, Ramona Zammit Formosa, he will be performing an excellent repertoire of flute music.
The eclectic selection of music will be of songs without words and the flute which often replaces the human voice will be singing these wonderful songs. The repertoire includes Schuberts famous Ave Maria, Haydns Serenade, Saint-Saens elegant Le Cigne and Denvers Annies Song amongst others.
